This structural use of Yew in Coldharbour is the only known example anywhere in Surrey.
it was in a poor condition and we spliced in a new piece where the timber was failing. Below you can see the beautiful and striking colour of the new wood and really appreciate how it could have originally looked and perhaps gain some insight into why they might have originally used yew as a structural element.
